I agree that people selflessly worked on that forum, and that's why I am utterly PISSED at how this was handled. Admin didn't pass the backups/data off to anybnody and intentionally made sure all of the data was lost. Either he was facing legal action, or he hated the scene. One of the two.
I had a 5K post count damn it! Lol. Sad to see it go.

Hello everyone. As you may have noticed, the website is down and the fb group is paused.
These changes are due to personal circumstances. There has been speculation about why and it has been incorrect. It's just time move on. Please cease any rumors. They are inaccurate.
So why the silence? Everyone has their opinion of how things should be done. Sometimes a person is too tired to argue over everything. Sometimes you just need peace in your life. Silence is the only way to try to give yourself that. Even if you win an argument, you may lose in the bigger picture and you have to just keep on arguing. I want to leave you all in peace and I ask that you return the favor.

There is nothing wrong with being tired and exhausted. We all get it. It happens to people. But you gave ZERO warning to anybody about it. We couldn't back anything up, we didn't know what was going on, and in the silence, speculation was fostered. If you are too tired to continue and are ready to move on, please do the decent thing and hand it over and make the information available to those who still give a fuck instead of just letting it expire. Not doing something like this gives the impression of resentment, animosity, contempt... and intent. Especially since you didn't give us the decency of explaining the situation to us maturely.... and in fact, deleted threads expressing frustration over your lack of communication. We would have respected it and sent you off with well wishes. We all appreciate what you have done over the years in providing us with the platform.
I just don't understand how anybody could care THIS little. You have TONS of priceless data on your site that you HAVEN'T deleted without warning, why not perform a backup of the forum and give it to us if you're done? I don't get it.
Although if there is truth to some of the rumors, this would all be put into context. You may not be able to TELL us. I think something happened. But I guess we'll never know... until it happens to somebody else.
