Ogxbox forum has closed

I have seen from a couple of sources now that the ogxbox.com forums have shut down for good. I know Admin had his reasons and I can respect those. I will say that I’m really sad to see it go and I wish it could’ve continued on with someone else taking the lead. I know many of us here had also been members there. In a time of Reddit, discord, etc and a younger group of people wanting different and immediate responses many see forums as a relic of internet past but I wholeheartedly disagree. I think they’re still quite needed and an excellent repository of information by people who like to do what we do and also a great place for those starting out. 

While I’m disappointed and sad at its closure I am still filled with a sense of gratitude and thanks to the ogxbox admin for keeping it going through it all. I’m also thankful to all the people that contributed to it that I was able to meet and learn from, as well as, all those I was unable to meet but left their mark and knowledge on that forum.

I agree that people selflessly worked on that forum, and that's why I am utterly PISSED at how this was handled. Admin didn't pass the backups/data off to anybnody and intentionally made sure all of the data was lost. Either he was facing legal action, or he hated the scene. One of the two.

I had a 5K post count damn it! Lol. Sad to see it go.

Hello everyone. As you may have noticed, the website is down and the fb group is paused.
These changes are due to personal circumstances. There has been speculation about why and it has been incorrect. It's just time move on. Please cease any rumors. They are inaccurate.
So why the silence? Everyone has their opinion of how things should be done. Sometimes a person is too tired to argue over everything. Sometimes you just need peace in your life. Silence is the only way to try to give yourself that. Even if you win an argument, you may lose in the bigger picture and you have to just keep on arguing. I want to leave you all in peace and I ask that you return the favor.

I respect admin for giving his own money and time freely, without asking much in return, if at all, in order to give us a platform. I had a lot of fun and even some good and funny memories that I cherish.
